Left at 9:10 am and after 227 kms arrived at Kununurra at 10:15 am which would be a speed of around 220 kph except for the time difference as WA is 11/2 hours behind the Northern Territory. No problems at the Quarantine Station and it was our impression that they are not as thorough as they used to be. We had originally intended to only shop in Kununurra then free camp and go into El Questro tomorrow however as we were not sure about the road in we changed our mind and decided to stay in Kununurra for a few nights. Were lucky to get a spot at Ivanhoe Caravan Park for 4 nights although we had 1 site the first night then had to move to another for the next 3. One of the Managers of the Park, Lee has worked at Cherryhill Orchards at Wandin and will be back there again later this year. Went to Supermarket to stock up on fruit and vegetables as we could not bring any into WA. Used the Air Con to cool van down this afternoon as it has got hot during the day but still cooler at night. Rang Jaxon tonight for his 16th Birthday. Some beautiful Crimson Finches near the van this afternoon.
