Our first rest day today so had a sleep in this morning. As usual most of the overnight vehicles leave each day and you have a nice quiet time for a lot of the day. After breakfast went for a 4 km walk around the rocks which have some great shapes and colours. Since we were here last there are now signs about “sacred sites” non photographic areas and not climbing on the rocks but I will make no comment on this new development. Talked to Keith and Sandra for a while then after lunch went for another 1.5 km walk to a lookout near the campground. Once again the mad scramble for spots late in the afternoon and given the numbers both nights the camp fee box should have been chockers but it wasn’t. The fees are only $3.30 per person per night but even that seems to be too much for a lot of people.
Keith and Sandra joined us for Happy Hour and we may meet them again further North.
