Day 14 Saturday 8 June2019

TENNANT CREEK TO DALY WATERS PUB 410 KMS

No call by 8:30 am so I went around to Garage, I was just about go call you, part has arrived, as I said things move slowly around here. A 15 minute job later and I was back to Caravan Park and we headed North at 9:45am. Very gun shy as we drove watching the instrument lights for the slightest sign, dropped the speed a bit to normal but all good. I had 1 fright, even though I knew it would happen, the Petrol light came on with 80 kms left in tank and it gives you a fright for a moment.

Decided we would have a night out at the Daly Waters Pub and arrived there at 3:00 pm. The temperature difference from this morning was amazing and straight into shorts. Went over to the Pub for Happy Hour for a couple of beers followed by Barra and salad for dinner with a bottle of White wine. Although the Pub was sold about 18 months ago the atmosphere was about the same as previous times we were here. Sat with a couple from WA for dinner and had a good talk.

Frank Turton, the Chook man, who we saw here the first time many years ago is back entertaining but he is well and truly past it and sings out of tune and is no longer funny. The main act Phil and Lou were good. Our first night out this trip was a good night. Windows open on the van all night.
