Left Barn Hill at 8:55 am and after a long but easy drive arrived here at around 2:00 pm. Passed a lot of caravans heading South and when we stopped at Sandfire Roadhouse for fuel there was a line up of at least a dozen vans. Although there were 3 diesel pumps only 2 could be used as they were so close that a vehicle and caravan filling at one pump blocked a second pump. Eventually everyone filled up with no real hassles. There was nothing causing the hold up except that so many all arrived at the same time. Stopped for lunch at a Roadside stop a bit further on and decided to continue to here. Originally we were going to just do a roadside stop about 80 kms away and get here early to try for a spot with an Ocean view but decided to come on move in the morning if necessary. There are 3 separate camping areas here, 2 with Ocean views. Decided to check out the Cliffs area and to our surprise at mid afternoon there were still a number of areas available. Settled on a nice spot overlooking a small Bay after a quick walk around but could not find anything as good. A bit windy but OK. Set up a fireplace and finally can have a campfire to cook on. Very nice going to sleep with the sound of the Ocean.
