RANGES VIEW TO BON BON REST AREA 309 KMS

Still a strong head wind today and we have been getting into the next fuel stop with only about 9 litres left in the tank. We have a 20 litre jerry can backup just in case. About 10 kms South of Glendambo we had a sheep that decided it wanted to cross the Highway, but it never got there as a hit in the centre of our Bullbar stopped it immediately. It went under the car and the caravan and was last seen with its legs up in the air and not moving. No damage to the car or van which shows the benefit of the Bullbar and the protection pan underneath. We were lucky as if a wheel had gone over it or it got stuck underneath it could have sent us off the road.

We arrived at Bon Bon early as Carol had some washing to put out and we decided to sit in the sun for a while along with millions of small flys which meant we needed to put our fly nets on.

Here is a question for any heavy thinkers out there regarding flys. When we are travelling they often get into the car and may not get out until 100s of kms later. Do flys have families and are they territorial? Can they use a homing instinct to return or do they assimilate with their new buddies or are they attacked as intruders? I am sure this is a question that many people have pondered (not) but here is an opportunity to maybe undertake a Research paper.

This is a problem of not having a lot to write about.
